Hi, I'm Thane. I've been reading fantasy and writing stories my whole life. I've known I want to write and publish books since I was 10, and have been steadily working towards that.

I'd describe my writing style as John Green but fantasy. My stories are character driven. Like I say above, I'm obsessed with stories about magic and religion and relationships. I like exploring relationships in the context of fantasy and magic. I think it gives us new ways to look at the human condition. 
 
Some of my favorite stories are Legend by Marie Lu, Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan, The Old Kingdom by Garth Nix, Percy Jackson, and The Thief by Magen Whalen Turner. I fall in love with stories because of the characters. Day and June's story in Legend is what makes me come back to it over and over. Rand's journey from sheep herder to the dragon reborn. Gen's every moment in The Thief. I love stories with magic, like the charter in The Old Kingdom, all of Brandon Sandersons magic systems. 

I created this blog back in 2016 or 17 because blogs are what taught me how to be a better writer and I wanted to be a part of that also. I talk about books I love, poetry, and writing. You can also find me on TikTok on Instagram, but Instagram is where I am most often.
