Books I've Read, and Fallen in Love with.

01

The Chronicles of Narnia - C. S. Lewis
How can you read these books or watch these movies without having a irresistible desire to be in Narnia and need to be there? The Pevancys, The world. Ahh. This is my top comfort read.

02

Percy Jackson - Rick Riordan
This books were everything to me. Inspired my love of mythology, like so many others. I have a Riptide tattoo. I'm a huge fan of the original series.

03

The Wheel of Time - Robert Jordan
One of my top series of all time. The ending is worth every page that comes before it.

04

Legend - Marie Lu
This trilogy will always hold my heart.

05

The Raven Cycle - Maggie Siefvater
The heartache I felt after this story was over, oh my stars.

06

The Poppy War - R. F. Kuang
SO dark, but so good.

07

The Lies of Lock Lamora - Scott Lynch
I have never read anything that made me feel what this story made me feel. One of the best fantasy thieving, friendship, heist-ish novels.

08

This Savage Song - Victoria Schwab
Who wouldn't fall in love with a series about monsters?

09

Graceling - Kristin Cashore
I have conflicted feelings about this series, but in the end, I loved it. It's one of the more bazaar fantastical worlds I've read.

10

Shadow and Bone - Leigh Bardugo
Yeah, I read all the big dystopian and fantasy books that came out about this time. What else did I have to do in the early 2010's?

11

Bear Town - Fredrik Backman
Content warning for this one. No one has ever written human emotion the way Backman does. Every single book hits, even the ones that aren't my favorites.

12

The Lunar Chronicles - Marissa Meyer
Haven't re read, but man it was good when I read it.

13

The Wolves of Mercy Falls - Maggie Stiefvater
I fell in love with this lady's writing and read everything. These books make me feel so much sadness, but ahfhghghwifg.

14

Firefly Lane - Kristin Hannah
This book made me cry more than any other book I've read to date.

15

The Lord of the Rings - J. R. R. Tolkin
I took way to many years to read this, but once I did I was hooked.

16

Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling
We know, and will never forget, that Hogwarts will always be there to welcome us home.

17

Mistborn - Brandon Sanderson
First book I ever wrote a Goodreads review for. The endings were the first ones I couldn't predict, and that shook me in the best way.

18

I Am Not A Serial Killer - Dan Wells
First trilogy, especially the first book, S tier. Second trilogy... Meh.

19

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - Robert Louis Stevenson
I loved it as a kid, and man does it hold up. Last 1/3 is the best.

20

A Little Princess - Frances Hogson Burnett
Sara is an amazing protagonist for a little girl to read. I loved this growing up. My mother read it aloud to me.

21

Winterwood + The Wicked Deep - Shea Earnshaw
Set in Oregon, amazing atmosphere. Really fun YA reads.
22
Movie: Stardust
K. I freaking love the Marvel TV show Daredevil, so I'm going to say this, the main character is acted by Charlie Cox, who acted Daredevil also. And, Narnia fans, in the first few minutes of the movie his dad is acted by Ben Barnes. That alone should convince you to watch it if you haven't already seen it.
I really enjoyed this movie because is was a fairy tale. Witches (Not very smart ones), unicorns, pirates (I mean come on, anything with pirates is amazing), kings, and sword fighting.
23
Bird by Bird by Amme Lamott
This was an awesome book about writing, and also life. Anne shares stories about her life and journey as a writer while giving advice on anything from plot to dialogue. Shitty First Drafts may be my favorite chapter.
