Perseverance When Your Stuck

I finally hit 18,000 words on my work in progress!!!

I'm really excited. Although I have been writing for the past six years, this is the first time I've tried to write a book.

But, at only three months in, I've been getting stuck. I blame school for some of it, midterms really do take up a lot of time, but even when I have time to write I can't seam to get any further.

After trying to figure out what was wrong with it, taking a couple weeks off writing, and just staring at the blank screen, I decided what to do.

Keep writing.

While I currently hate every word that I put down ever word adds up and soon I have pages of writing that I hate. But, it's progress. And I know that once I get to the second draft a lot of it will be cut and re written but for a first draft it works. The goal is to be done, not to have it perfect. Perfect comes later.

Sorry this post is short, but I have a thanksgiving dinner to eat and a book to write

Catch you'll next week.

Much love,

Thane Attor
