I honestly had no idea it was World Book Day until Hannah Heath posted her favorite books on Facebook, so here are a few of mine!
My all time childhood favorites is The Classic Tales of Beatrix Potter. Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck, Mr. Jeremy Fisher, and Squirrel Nutkin. I loved these guys, the Flopsy Bunnies, Mice and ducks and rabbits and it awesome and cute with awesome morals and just the perfect bedtime story. Also when I was five I took a Beatrix Potter sewing class. It way epic.
A Little Princess and The secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I'd make my mom read A little Princess over and over. I loved how she had a huge imagination, and used it to make it though and overcome her struggles. She had adventures and tragedies and made friends. The Secret Garden is such a childhood dream. Finding friends you'd never expect to have and finding a place all to yourselves that you could fix up and create all by yourselves.
A Mango Shaped Space by Wendy Mass is about a girl with synesthesia. It's not very well known (I have no idea how I found it) so go read it. It's cute, a little strange, but really cool and funny and sad.
And of course Harry Potter. I don't even have to tell you why. I'm a Slytherin, what house are you in?
My more recent favorites are The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, just go look at my reviews and it tells you everything cool about it.
The Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu, and also The Young Elites trilogy. Legend, Prodigy and Champion are so so so SO awesome. I also have a review on it on my review page.
Skies of Dripping Gold and Colors of Fear by Hannah Heath, and the Beaumont and Beasley series by Kyle Robert Shultz. GO LOOK BOTH THESE PEOPLE UP. They are awesome.
What are your favorite books? Tell me about them!! Post pictures!! Tell me everything.
Much Love,
Thane
